    The Director of IT Operations is responsible for managing all Global IT support services and operations.

    Loyalty Marketing Bear

    The Loyalty Marketing Bear is a key member of the marketing team. This position is responsible for developing and managing the contact strategy for Build-A-Bear Workshop’s Guest loyalty program. It will oversee the integrated communication plan, including guest communication, timelines, offers and budgets. This position will also manage the CRM system and is responsible for the execution of direct marketing programs (both Direct Mail and Email) that seek to profitably attract and retain Build-A-Bear Workshop Guests.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Development of loyalty program strategy through an integrated communication plan (including both Direct Mail and Email), timelines, offers and budgets.
    • Preparation and execution of direct mail communications from concept to execution, including project plans, briefs, budget and timelines.
    • Development of Email campaigns using an Email Service Provider platform, including loading creative assets, data selection, the build, deployment and monitor sends.
    • Maintainance of the CRM data system for list queries, process maintenance, reward certificate processing and guest inquiries.
    • Development of creative briefs and partnering with the in-house creative team on the development of direct mail and email; formulate creative and offer testing strategies that continuously optimize response.
    • Management of external printers and vendors that deliver best-in-class, high value direct mail and email programs within budget.
    • Development, execution and post-campaign analysis for all Direct Marketing (Direct Mail and Email) campaigns.
    • Development and management of reporting and forecasting for direct marketing including individual campaign results and global Guest metrics.
    • Partnership with the Director to set strategic targets/goals for direct marketing programs.

    Qualifications required include:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
    • A minimum of five years of experience with Loyalty Marketing programs, including Direct Mail and Email, ideally in a consumer/retail environment.
    • A proven record of accomplishment developing and executing Direct Mail and Email marketing campaigns end-to-end, from strategic development through execution and performance analysis that informs subsequent campaigns.
    • Experience managing integrated, multi-channel campaigns is preferred.
    • Knowledge of best practices in database marketing, direct marketing and email marketing principles/operational excellence (modeling, profiling, segmentation, data management).
    • Superb analytical skills with acumen in targeting, testing and evaluation.
    • Agency management experience (developing, driving program execution).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (will need to lead/manage/influence through other team members).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience with a Customer RElationship Management (CRM) system and an ESP platforms are a plus!


    Interactive Designer

    The Interactive Designer's primary function is to collaborate closely with UX & QA Manager, existing Interactive Designers, programmers, and end users to ensure a consistent quality user experience. It is responsible for bringing marketing concepts to life through artistic design in the digital space through landing pages, promotional messages, blogs and new web site properties. In addition, this position will define, suggest and implement process improvements, estimate scope and deliver solutions to support production processes, and support and maintain custom applications.

    Responsibilities:

  • Develop new visual designs to achieve projected yearly growth while maintaining current E commerce business.
  • Introduce and recommend new design practices or standards to enhance the current look and experience of our digital properties and further the engagement of our brand with guests.
  • Define, suggest and implement process improvements and best practices utilizing design standards, multi-vairiant and traditional testing methodologies.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of projects for on-time delivery as well as managing project issues.
  • Organize, facilitate and follow-up with inner-departmental groups to facilitate design efforts and enhancements, bug resolution, and overall system health for our digital properties.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Graphics or a related field

    Director - Procurement (Indirect)

    The Director – Procurement will manage all sourcing initiatives across the organization, to reducing overall costs of the indirect spend while improving the quality of goods and services.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee the overall savings plan for indirect expenses each fiscal year by working with top management and functional leadership to identify and prioritize sourcing opportunities
    • Align resources and execute the annual sourcing plan while championing and adopting procurement best practices throughout the organization
    • Collect and analyze internal and industry data and benchmarks
    • Evaluate supplier responses to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quote (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)
    • Develop negotiation strategies, lead supplier negotiations and make supplier award recommendations
    • Provide input into specific parameters and metrics for measuring on-going effectiveness of cost reductions or changes in service providers

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with 6-10 years of directly related work experience

    Inbearmation Technology Project Manager

    LOCATION: St. Louis, MO

    The Inbearmation Technology Project Manager’s role will include working with project stakeholders to ensure that projects successfully meet their scope and quality goals and are implemented on time. This position coordinates all project activities from statements of work through requirements definition, development, quality assurance, delivery, and implementation. It requires management of multiple projects, tracking deliverables, and ensuring that agreed upon timelines are achieved on each project.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate high level needs analysis with customers, translate user needs into functional requirements and business specifications, including screen layout and process, workflow changes
    • Conduct resource planning, prepare statements of work, control changes and manage client expectations
    • Pro-actively address project risks and issues providing appropriate issues escalation to the necessary levels
    • Develop testing and cut over plans that bridge business process and system functionality
    • Guide on-site testing and manage post implementation issue logs
    • Manage and actively participate in streamlining and re-engineering of business practices

    Senior Tax Accountant Bear

    Location: St. Louis, MO

    The Senior Tax Accountant Bear manages audits of all taxing jurisdictions, ensures compliance with transfer pricing regulations, performs accounting functions for two foundations, and performs research related to audit inquiries and tax planning opportunities.

    Specifically, this position manages federal, state & local and international audits which includes coordinating with our external auditors, providing supporting documentation, and researching tax issues. It performs monthly accounting functions for two foundations which involves recording all income, expenses, completing bank reconciliations and preparing financial statements. The position also reviews federal and state foundation returns, updates transfer pricing policies and ensures compliance with regulations annually or more frequently as needed. In addition, it is responsible for analyzing the impact of proposed/enacted tax law changes, analyzing tax consequences of tax planning and strategy initiatives, and providing recommendations and opinions.

    Qualified applicants will have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field and six to ten years of directly related work experience. Applicants must also have extensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)- ASC 740, knowledge of tax laws with the ability to research, analyze and monitor changes and must possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CCH or other online research tools is also required. A CPA and big four/public accounting experience is a plus!
